140 Monday Musing: Feedback

Feedback. It can be very difficult to accept and absorb critiques of any work that we do. Even when you ask for feedback it can still hurt, it can still be personal when someone criticizes your “baby.” But in sales it is critical that we get honest feedback on our presentation skills because our prospects will certainly give it with their decision to buy.

In this Monday Musing, Christie gives strategies for giving and receiving feedback so that we can ALL get better together.

138 Monday Musing: Dog Days

Mid to late-August, the dog days of summer. It’s a saying that roots back to Roman times, popular in professional baseball and a mindest that bleeds into nearly every business around this time…especially sales.

The long hot summer days, the middle of the season, maybe your team, your company already has their playoff positioning locked up. You’re tired, you’re beaten down. We’re halfway a little more than halfway through Q3. What is going to keep you motivated?

When you’re a professional ballplayer, you keep going because that’s what you get paid to do. You get paid to perform. But in sales there’s got to be something more than that. Right?
